You can enter the Bitcoin world with a Bitcoin exchange that makes verification. Then you can use the non-custodial decentralized exchange.

If you choose to start with payment in cash, you have no idea what's the history behind the sender's BTC address. At some point, it may not be a good choice to be attached to it.

For Ireland, you can choose from bitireland, coinbase, kraken. it's up to you

However, I know about Changelly, Changenow, DEX, and some others. But they're crypto-crypto exchange. If you use FIAT you need to make the verification process

You can Buy Bitcoin at BitIreland.ie and then start your non-custodial trading. The very 1st crypto coin is always via custodial exchange service (except the moment when you buy it in person).

There are many crypto wallets with an integrated bitcoin exchange. It's good to have all-one-solution, but these wallets are not the best choice for HODL. Long Bitcoin requires better security.

If you use one exchange to Bitcoin, you may not need other services. Why exchange Bitcoin to 'something' else?

The Big question is how to get your first bitcoin without using the custodial exchanges. Then it's clear, but how to get started without all these selfies, documents, verifications?
